Health minister says fish being fed chicken guts, causing foul smells in al-Assi River

Health Minister Wael Abou Faour called on ministers of interior and defense to stop trucks carrying chicken guts from dumping at fisheries along the al-Assi River in northeast Lebanon.

Health Ministry inspectors found that fish in the river were being fed chicken guts, causing a foul smell in the area and proliferating the existence of rodents, mosquitoes and other insects.
