Israeli army urges residents south of Zahrani River in South Lebanon to evacuate

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning to residents of South Lebanon in a post on X, calling on those living south of the Zahrani River to immediately evacuate their homes.

According to the statement, the Israeli military said that activities by Hezbollah in the area are forcing the army to operate against the group “with force,” while claiming it does not intend to harm civilians.

The warning urged all residents located south of the Zahrani River to move north of the river for their safety. The statement also cautioned that anyone present near Hezbollah members, facilities, or military equipment would be putting their lives at risk, noting that any building used by the group for military purposes could become a target.

Residents were also warned that moving southward could expose them to danger.
