The Security Sub-Council held a meeting Thursday at Zahle Serail under the chairmanship of Bekaa Governor Judge Antoine Sleiman and in the presence of heads of security and military apparatuses of the Bekaa region, and the public prosecutor in order to discuss the security measures to be implemented in a bid to avoid any bombings and security breaches.
The meeting comes one day after a bomb blast targeted the Ksara roundabout in the east Lebanon region of Zahle, killing one person and wounding eleven others.
During the meeting, the officials stressed that the Lebanese army and the security forces are carrying out their duties, emphasizing the importance of coordination between the municipalities that can have a major role on the security level.
