Chamoun favors the 1960 electoral law over proportional representation

Head of the National Liberal Party Dory Chamoun stressed on Wednesday the importance that expats take part in legislative elections, calling on the ministry of foreign affairs to work on facilitating the voting process for expats.

Chamoun told Nharkom Said TV show that he does not endorse an electoral law based on proportional representation, adding that he prefers the 1960 electoral law since it is “more realistic given the current Lebanese situation.”
