Daouk to PAC employees: Mikati is personally following up on the issue of your dismissal

Information Minister Walid al-Daouk said Saturday that Prime Minister Najib Mikati is personally following up on the issue of PAC employees’ dismissal. He said that Mikati is contacting both parties of the problem to avoid the dismissal of the employees who make up 400 families.

During his meeting with a delegation of PAC employees, Daouk said that the government will spare no effort to make sure the employees are not dismissed. “The best way to protect rights is dialogue between both parties in order for the company to continue operating.” Daouk added that if anything happened, it will be up to competent courts to decide.

Daouk stressed that what happened must be a motive for workers to form a syndicate that protects their rights.
