SAWA Association for Development decided, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund to celebrate the International Human Rights Day in the town of Bar Elias.
The association has been working on the Maharat project for over six months to shed light on human rights. The activists visited experts and jurists and six refugee camps, where they raised awareness among the refugees on their basic rights.
Within the workshop, leaflets were hanged from several trees in Bar Elias holding demands for equality, women’s rights, education for girls and many more.
