Ghosn called for fixing the price of a bread bundle and protecting persistence food

The head of the General Labor Confederation (GLC) Ghassan Ghosn said Tuesday that Lebanese workers and the poor are paying the price of the polarization between mill owners and bakery owners at a time when the government is disassociating itself from addressing the living conditions crisis and people’s concerns.

Ghosn urged the government to assume its responsibility by protecting citizens’ subsistence food, especially those with limited income, workers and the poor. He called for putting an end to the manipulation of bread bundles and recovering the wheat sector from the cartel of mill owners who are in control of the flour prices.

Ghosn called on the government to intervene, fix the price of a bread bundle and protect the people’s subsistence means.
