State Min for Refugees Affairs says policy to treat Syrian refugee crisis soon to be drafted

State Minister for Refugees Affairs Mouin Mourehbi announced on Friday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri has requested the preparation of a report on the economic, social and developmental impacts of the Syrian refuges influx on the country.

Mourehbi’s comments were made after a meeting tasked to tackle the Syrian refugee crisis at the Grand Serail.

He also noted that “a unified policy” will be drafted to treat this issue.

For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil expressed his relief over the way this issue is being treated.

As for Minister of Social Affairs Pierre Bou Assi, he said that Lebanon will soon have a unified plan in order to address the Syrian refugee crisis.
