Israeli army issues evacuation warning for several neighborhoods in Beirut’s southern suburbs

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said in a post on X that the Israeli military issued an urgent warning to residents of several neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The warning specifically addressed residents in the areas of Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Laylaki, Hadath, Borj El Brajneh, Tahouitet El Ghadir, and Chiyah.

According to the statement, the Israeli army said that activities by Hezbollah in these areas compel the military to operate against the group “with force,” while claiming it does not intend to harm civilians.

Residents were urged to evacuate the neighborhoods immediately and not return until further notice. The statement also warned that the Israeli military would not hesitate to strike anyone located near Hezbollah members, facilities, or military assets, adding that remaining in the area would place civilians’ lives at risk.
