Civil Defense Marine Rescue Team carries out naval maneuver in Jounieh

The Civil Defense Marine Rescue Team carried out on Saturday a naval maneuver in Jounieh that saw the participation of university students from different Lebanese regions.

The participant students had earlier undergone months-long training programs focused on rescue operations and beach guarding.

In this context, Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud highlighted the great importance attached to maritime rescue operations during the upcoming tourism season as a certain number of lifeguards will be deployed across pools and tourist resorts and control over rescue equipment will be tightened to ensure the citizens’ safety.
