Director of Europe at the International Monetary Fund called on the Lebanese government to open the labor market for the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The appeal came during the Global Parliamentary Conference in Washington.
Some Lebanese parties interpreted the request as an attempt to resettle the Syrians, while experts said that it comes as a result of Europe’s efforts to keep the Syrians from seeking refuge in its countries.
