REPORT: Disabled Palestinian man volunteers to help neighbor’s harvest

Louai al-Najjar lost his legs nine years when an Israeli missile exploded as he rushed to rescue wounded neighbors during a clash between Palestinian militants and Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

Now aged 28, al-Najjar has come to the aid of his neighbors again, joining them as a volunteer in a wheat harvest near the border with Israel.

He hopes his efforts will draw the attention of potential employers, saying that he tries to make himself useful and to defy his situation.
