REPORT: Minister Jreissati asks prosecution to take action over beauty clinic death

Justice Minister Salim Jreissati called on Saturday the public prosecutor to take the necessary procedures to follow up on the death of an Iraqi patient identified as Farah Qassab at a beauty clinic in Lebanon.

Jreissati asked the public prosecutor to “take necessary action and hand out punishments concerning the death of the Iraqi patient.

On Friday, the investigations in the death of Farah Qassab during a cosmetic surgery at one of the cosmetic hospitals in the region of Naqash continued.

Sources told LBCI that, according to preliminary information regarding the report issued by the coroners’ committee tasked by the public prosecution, the woman was undergoing three surgeries at the same time and that the death was caused by cardiac arrest.
