Patriarch Rai reiterates rejection to extension of parliament’s mandate, vacuum
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Sunday that the Lebanese leaders “are being busy with narrow calculations for maximizing their profits and minimizing their losses.”

Rai’s comments were made during his Sunday’s sermon whereby he expressed fears that politicians will not be able to adopt a new vote law.

He concluded his sermon by reiterating his refusal to the extension of the parliament’s mandate and  the vacuum.
