Calm prevails in Akkar, Muslim Waqf Department receives condolences
Calm prevailed in the region of Akkar on Thursday amid continued reception of condolences over the passing of Sheikhs Ahamd Abd al-Wahed and Mohammad Merheb.       

Alaa Abd al-Wahed, the deceased sheikh’s brother, announced that the residents of Akkar will not endorse any decision that does not come within the framework of the follow-up commission formed on Wednesday, urging the people to exercise self-restraint.       

The Muslim Waqf [Endowment] Department in Akkar had begun in the morning to receive condolences over Abd al-Wahed and Merheb’s passing.
