MP Khaled Daher presented a proposal to the parliament requesting to consider Friday and Sunday of every week as non-working days.
This comes after a decision to close the public administrations and institutions on Saturdays and Sundays as a weekend. The measure was met with many protests and objections, especially in the Akkar region, where the people requested Friday as a non-working day since it is a Muslim holiday.
