Conference at presidential palace announcing plan for tourism in Lebanon

President Michel Aoun said that a major plan is being prepared for the tourism sector, but it cannot be accomplished within a short period of time.

Addressing a delegation from the tourism sector at Baabda presidential palace, Aoun revealed that a plan is also being set to activate winter tourism and to lower the flight fares on board the Middle East Airlines.

He added that work is underway to find a solution to improve Jounieh road.

For his part, Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian announced that the Lebanese tourism has entered a new phase, pointing out that the bookings at the hotels increased by 10%. “If we continue in this direction, we could reach one million travelers coming to Lebanon,” he stated.
