On the fifth of October, the decision pertaining to the regulation of the “Valet Parking” service was published in the official Gazette, fixing the service price at LBP 5,000.
The decision was violated by most companies, forcing the tourism police to impose fines against them.
The Valet Parking companies in Beirut rejected the decision to fix the price at LBP 5,000, saying that the land renting process in Beirut is much higher than other regions.
Accordingly, Interior and Municipalities Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq issued a decision upon the request of the Tourism Minister, to raise the tariff within Administrative Beirut to a maximum of LBP 10,000.
