REPORT: Central Bank to continue its policy of fixing exchange rate of LBP
Banque Du Liban sources told LBCI on Saturday that the Central Bank will continue its policy of fixing the exchange rate of the Lebanese pound.
 
The same sources asserted that the resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri will not affect the exchange rate.
 
This as Minister of Economy Raed Khoury said that there is no fear on the Lebanese lira, adding that the “financial, economic and security situation is stable with the presence of a strong president.”
 
“Lebanon has passed through bigger crisis and remained its stability,” he concluded by saying.
 
Earlier, Prime Minister Saad Hariri submitted his resignation, saying in a televised broadcast he sensed a plot to assassinate him, criticizing Iran and and Hezbollah.

He said a similar atmosphere existed in the country prevailed before the assassination of his father, late prime minister Rafic Hariri.
