PM Hariri rescinds resignation as government agrees to stay out of conflicts in Arab countries

Prime Minister Saad Hariri rescinded on Tuesday his resignation announced on November 04, and said all members of the government had agreed to stay out of conflicts in Arab countries.

Following the extraordinary cabinet session held at Baabda presidential palace under the chairmanship of President Michel Aoun, Hariri read a statement drafted by the government, whereby "the cabinet thanked its leader (Hariri) for his position and for revoking his resignation.”

"All political components decide to dissociate themselves from all conflicts, disputes, wars or the internal affairs of brother Arab countries, in order to preserve Lebanon's economic and political relations," Hariri said, stressing his rejection over any state’s attempt to intervene in Lebanon’s affairs.
