Hariri chairs last Cabinet session of the year, stresses government’s achievements
Prime Minister Saad Hariri chaired on Tuesday the cabinet session at the Grand Serail with 67 items on its agenda.

At the beginning of the session, Hariri said: "This session is the last of this year. I hope that it will be fruitful, to emphasize our role in restoring confidence. It is true that the government faced many challenges during the year and witnessed political, social and economic crises, but this does not mean that the government was not able to make great achievements, the last being the decrees for the oil sector.

He also highlighted the importance of the adoption of the electoral law, the diplomatic, administrative and judicial appointments, the pay scale, the renewal of the work of the Economic and Social Council, the Lebanese army's victories on terrorism, saying that he is very proud to have worked with a Council of Ministers that “put itself at the service of Lebanon and the Lebanese, and took a historical decision to disassociate itself from the problems of the region.”

Hariri stressed that "the government has a duty to fulfill, which is to hold parliamentary elections on the basis of the new proportional law, noting that the elections will be held on their due time that is set by the Interior Ministry.
