Parents of murdered British Embassy worker, Rebecca Dykes released a statement on Friday due to their departure from Lebanon along with Rebecca’s body saying: “The past few weeks were the hardest, but we appreciate and thank the Lebanese authorities and the instructing judge on their hard work in order to reveal the truth behind the murder of our dear Rebecca.”
“We were pleased to know, through our attorney, that the investigating judge was keen on providing the defendant’s full rights during the investigations in order to speak freely about the events of the incident,” the statement also read.
“We thank the officials and each person that knew Becky for their support,” they added.
“Becky was proud of work she accomplished in Lebanon.” The statement concluded by saying.
