Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil declared Sunday that “the parliamentary elections are not a moment, but a continuous process,” stressing that the Free Patriotic Movement is working today for all Lebanon.
On the issue of the Syrian refugees, Bassil said during a tour in Akkar that “they demanded that every Syrian newborn must be registered so that they do not lose the right for an identity in their country,” adding that they will continue working on treating the issue of those who are without IDs.
The minister emphasized that unity and sovereignty are key to build a nation and a state.
Speaking from Wadi Khaled, Bassil said: “Lebanon is one, and Wadi Khaled is in the heart of Lebanon, as we had previously promised, we are visiting now the town and we are very glad to be here.”
