In a recent development, the Israeli army started the construction of the concrete wall, which has raised a wave of objections in Lebanon, at Ras al-Naqoura crossing point.
Between the blue line, put in place by the UN resolution 1701 and the green line shown on the map, is located the disputed area between Lebanon and Israel.
The wall constructions started inside the Israeli borders at a distance of 50 centimeters from the red line, which represents the Israeli technical fence.
The wall is of 5 meters high, and 26 meters of its length has been built so far.
Up until now, the wall has not yet posed any problems for Lebanon, but as the construction will continue, the wall is expected to touch 23 points inside the reserved area by Lebanon.
These points are located in Ras al-Naqoura, Alma al-Chaab, Merwahin, Rmeich, Yaroun, Maroun al-Ras, Blida, Mays al-Jabal, al-Adaysseh, Kfarkela, al-Mtolleh, al-Wazzani, in addition to the Shebaa farms and the occupied town of al-Ghajar.
