The Lebanese Foreign Minister denounced “airstrikes launched against Syria,” stressing the country’s legitimate right to respond to any Israeli attack.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry said that “Minister Gebran Bassil gave instructions on Thursday to Lebanon’s permanent mission at the United Nations in New York to file a complaint to the Security Council against Israel to condemn it and to warn of the consequences of using the Lebanese airspace to conduct airstrikes against Syria.”
“This aggressive policy adopted by Israel threatens stability of the region, this is why the ministry calls on all concerned countries to curb Israel so that it halts its attacks,” the statement added.
