Celine Dion announces Paris comeback shows after illness

Celine Dion announced on her birthday Monday that she would be getting "the best gift" in returning to the stage in Paris following a lengthy hiatus prompted by a rare health condition.

Addressing fans in a video released on social media, the 58-year-old Canadian megastar revealed her condition has improved and she would perform 10 shows in the French capital in September and October.

"This year, I'm getting the best birthday gift of my life. I'm getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again," she said.
