Employees and workers at Elias al-Hrawi governmental hospital in Zahle stressed Thursday their commitment to the strike called for by the union of workers at governmental hospitals in Lebanon, to demand the implementation of the new pay scale in all its stipulations, refusing to admit patients until their rights are fulfilled.
Similarly, the committee of the employees at Beirut governmental hospital in Karantina issued a statement whereby it declared its commitment to the strike called for by the founding body of governmental hospitals, to be held Thursday and Friday.
This comes as employees at Baalbek governmental hospital closed the facility’s main entrance, announcing a general strike to protest against the authorities’ failure to grant them their rights. They said that they will also admit emergency cases.
Employees at Jezzine governmental hospital also gathered outside the building, calling onthe concerned parties to grant them their rights, noting that they will commit to any decision issued by the founding body of the union of workers at governmental hospitals
