35 Sudanese in Lebanon between unknown fate and asylum tragedy

35 Sudanese live in asylum tragedy in Lebanon with their families. They sit on sidewalks, no tent to protect them from the sun, protesting in front of the headquarters of the High Commissioner of Refugees in Jnah.

Hunger strike is their way to let their voice be heard. They have been only drinking water for five days.

If these Sudanese decide one day to return to their country, they will face an unknown fate because they are illegal immigrants in Lebanon.

The commissioner’s office in Beirut prepared the files of these refugees and sent them to the US and other countries that welcome refugees. However, no answer has been received given that there are more than 40 million refugees in the world; only 1% among them is resettled.
