REPORT: Patriarch Rai says private schools must not be for the rich only

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Saturday that private schools, mainly the Catholic ones must not be schools for only the rich ones.

Rai’s comments were made during an educational meeting in Bkerke whereby he urged the state to financially support the private schools.

Patriarch Rai concluded by calling for an end for the dispute between the private schools’ teachers and the state.
