REPORT: In North Lebanon’s 2nd district, battle will not be easy on Future Movement

In North Lebanon’s 2nd district, which includes Tripoli, Minieh and Donnieh, 83% of the voters are Sunnis with a total number of 289500 out of 250000 voters.

 

The 11 seats of this district are distributed as follow: 8 Sunnis, one Alawite, one Maronite and One Orthodox. 8 lists are competing for these seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

 

The Future Movement, in cooperation with former Minister Mohammad al-Safadi, has been attempting to regain its power and unify its fronts in this district, noting that a part of the movement’s popularity has shifted toward former Minister Ashraf Rifi.
