President Michel Aoun asserted on Sunday that voting is a sacred national duty, adding that whosoever abstains to vote would be giving up his right to choose his/her representatives.

“The Lebanese people are carrying out today the most important national political process,” he added after casting his vote in Haret Hreik.

He also noted that the Lebanese people must not neglect their rights in holding the MPs accountable for their performances “according to their wills and without being affected by anyone.”
