Civil servants suspend work over failure to approve pay scale
The employees of Bechara el-Khoury's Ministry of Finance suspended their work for two hours on Tuesday, following the call of the Institute of Public Administration’s Alumni Association to protest against the failure to approve the pay scale.

Meanwhile, the employees in Zahle's public administrations and the Adliyeh's ministry of Finance – TVA building, suspended their work for two hours for the same reason.

As for the public sector’s employees in Hermel, they also held a strike in Hermel Serail.

Protesters considered this step to be a warning, calling on the government to ratify the draft law at its first meeting. They refused the promises submitted to the cabinet in regards to the tax increase.
