MP Hankash to LBCI: Things would not have gone that far if transparency was adopted in handling naturalization decree

Member of the Kataeb political bureau MP Elias Hankash said Tuesday that the party only needs to be informed of the naturalization decree, noting that they have the right to resort to the constitutional institutions to understand what happened, especially that the decree was not handled with transparency; otherwise, things would not have gone that far.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Hankash stressed that the reports of them attacking the “era” are not correct, pointing out that if there is nothing wrong with this file, then why was it returned to the General Security.

The deputy explained that the Kataeb supports giving the Lebanese mother the right to pass her nationality to her children, but not randomly.
