Head of the Educational Zone in North Lebanon Nahla Hamati visited student Mahmoud Badr al-Assaad who suffers renal insufficiency and who is taking his secondary education official exams in the Sociology and Economy branch, at the dialysis center in Rahal Hospital in the town of Sheikh Mohammad in Akkar, where a room was designated for him in the presence of observers and security forces, as well as the medical crew with the department’s head Dr. Walid Rahal.
Hamati stressed that the Education Ministry, its Director General Fadi Yarak and Head of the Exams Department Hilda al-Khoury give great attention to humanitarian cases and students with special needs, noting that those who have a special case have to submit an application to the ministry about their case and the request gets reviewed by a medical committee before approval.
