Aoun meets Khoury over heritage buildings

Caretaker Minister of Culture Ghattas Khoury said on Friday that he tackled with President Michel Aoun the situation of heritage buildings especially that the related draft law was submitted to the Parliament and was not approved yet.

Khoury’s comments were made after meeting with Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby he noted that the Shura Council is allowing the destruction of heritage buildings.

He also noted that President Aoun is keen on dealing with the problems that might arise concerning the heritage buildings.
