Rai bound for Turkey

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai headed for Turkey on Wednesday as part of a pastoral visit during which he is expected to meet with a number of Turkish officials.

Asked whether his recent meeting with March 14 officials in Bkerke has “broken the ice” between both sides, Rai confirmed “we didn’t build any ice in the first place…the meeting was good”.
