Sleiman keen on protecting security, stability
President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, keenly followed up Friday on the current security situation, amid a wobbly juncture prevailing in the country and following a fresh Cabinet decision hereby lifting the cover off lawbreakers.       

Accordingly, the President met today at the Baabda presidential palace with the Lebanese Army Commander, General Jean Qahwaji, and General Security Chief, Brigadier General Abbas Ibrahim.       

Separately, Sleiman met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adnan Mansour, with talks featuring high on a number of dossiers relevant to the Lebanese-Arab-international ties.      

Kataeb Deputy Sami Gemayel had also been to Baabda today for a meeting with Sleiman over the most recent political developments on the domestic scene.     

Furthermore, the President received a students' delegation of Hassan Qassir High School and the Lebanese American School in Zahle comprising the winners in the International Robot Contest held in the US.         

Also on Friday, Sleiman received an invitation to attend the second commemoration of Scholar Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah’s death.
