Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai, accompanied by a delegation, arrived Monday to his residence in St. Charbel parish in Jordan’s Amman, where he was welcomed by the crowds of believers.
Rai stressed that the exchanged visits between Lebanon and Jordan confirms the firm relations and continuous communication through the Lebanese-Jordanian community.
“We pray for Lebanon, Jordan and the region, as well as for the holy land that will remain sacred,” he added.
The patriarch expressed regret over the Israeli Knesset’s decision to Judaize Jerusalem and to remove the Arabic language, replacing it with the Hebrew as an official language, stressing the need to remain united to maintain our role in this Arab world.
