Berri files lawsuit against al-Jadeed TV station

Speaker Nabih Berri filed on Wednesday a lawsuit against the Al- Jadeed TV station, targeting the head of the Tahseen Khayat Media Group Tahsin Khayat, Karma Khayat and the station's news director Mariam al-Bassam.

The lawsuit comes after the TV station accused AMAL’s officials of conspiring with power generator owners in its introduction of the news bulletin aired on August 5.

The lawsuit was transferred to Public Attorney Judge Ghassan al-Khoury who summoned them all to a session to be held on Monday August 13.
