Charbel: all figures in Lebanon are assassination targets

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel declared on Thursday that “all figures in Lebanon are assassination targets”, stressing that security apparatuses are pursuing this case on the ground and in coordination with him.

Following his meeting with MP Boutros Harb, Charbel noted that there are people who are taking advantage of the situation to prepare a conspiracy against Lebanon. He added that this plot will fail when all the Lebanese parties reach an agreement.

“We are aware of the assassination attempts, but no security authority can be a hundred percent prepared”, Charbel said, explaining that security apparatuses are performing their duties within their available capabilities.
