Lebanon has been anticipating the Israeli airstrikes against targets in Syria before occurring, since Israel has repeatedly violated the Lebanese airspace to launch air strikes targeting the Syrian territories.
On Tuesday at 18:15 in the afternoon, 4 Israeli warplanes entered the Lebanese sky over the sea, west of Sidon, reaching Beirut and Akkar, before leaving the airspace after 17 minutes, a statement by the Lebanese armed Forces Command stated.
This violation coincided with news of airstrikes targeting sites in the provinces of Tartous and Hama.
The Israeli violations of the Lebanese sovereignty have long been ongoing, whether for reconnaissance purposes or in order to strike Syria.
These violations are estimated to reach thousands annually, while the complaints filed by Lebanon before the UN Security Forces have not managed to prevent them, as Israel ignores all international resolutions and pacts.
