Member of the Development and Liberation bloc, MP Qassem Hashem stressed Thursday that all the laws passed in the Parliament are a necessity, stressing that the Lebanese Forces and the Future bloc are responsible for loss of quorum.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Hashem denied reports stating that Berri refused to proceed with the legislative session amid the absence of the Sunni bloc, noting that the most important thing is closing the session’s minutes “because the laws passed will not enter into effect until the closure of the session’s minutes.”
Hashem pointed out that they were in the knowledge that the Future bloc might cause the loss of quorum, stressing the Development and Liberation bloc supports guaranteeing cancer medications as a priority.
On another note, Hashem commented on the issue of the airport, stating that the recent events that took place show that the Lebanese institutions are in a state of weariness.
The deputy stressed that the Finance Minister is abiding by the policy of the state and the government, not a personal one.
