The “Strong Republic” bloc convened in two-hour meeting, during which the deputies were divided between those opposing the participation in the cabinet and a majority supporting the proposing presented by Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, granting the LF party the deputy PM position in addition to three ministries (labor, social affairs and culture).
Following the meeting, LF chief Samir Geagea announced that his party will take part in the government; a decision that was welcomed by the Free Patriotic Movement.
