President Michel Aoun met Wednesday with the Vice President of Ghana Mahamudu Bawumia at Baabda Presidential palace, where they tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries and the contribution of Ghana to the United Nations Interim Force in south Lebanon.
The delegation, headed by Bawumia, informed Aoun of Ghana’s keenness on boosting and developping the relations with Lebanon.
"The relations between the two countries are strong and they are not new. Additionally, the Lebanese Diaspora in Ghana have been there for 125 years, and we consider them more Ghanaian than Lebanese. They are significantly contributing to our country's development and growth in the fields of industry, culture, social development, trade and others," Bawumia said.
