Monseigneur Zakhia appointed Papal Ambassador to Pakistan

Pope Francis appointed the Church Consultant of the Synod, Lebanese Monseigneur Christophe Zakhia, as Papal Ambassador to Pakistan.


Zakhia hails from the town of Faytroun and was born on August 24, 1968, he became a priest on May 21, 1994.

He entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See on June 19, 2000, and served in the Papal Embassy in Indonesia, Sudan, and Turkey and in the International Relations Department in the State Secretariat.
