Sources to LBCI: Ali Hassan Khalil holds meetings in Doha, discusses ceasefire efforts with Qatari officials

Sources told LBCI that the political aide to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, MP Ali Hassan Khalil, has begun a series of meetings in the Qatari capital, Doha, as an envoy of Speaker Nabih Berri.

Khalil began his meetings with Qatari officials by meeting the Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi.

He then met Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, where they discussed recent developments, as well as efforts aimed at de-escalation and reaching a comprehensive ceasefire.

According to the sources, Khalil conveyed Speaker Berri’s gratitude to Qatar—its Emir, government, and people—for their continued support to Lebanon across various fields, as well as appreciation for Doha’s efforts to reach a full ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel and to support stability and reconstruction efforts in Lebanon.
