Coroner Chahrour to LBCI: My report on Abou Diab’s death does not mention used weapon type

Coroner Hussein Chahrour said on Monday that his report on the death of the bodyguard of former Minister Wiam Wahhab, Mohammad Abou Diab does not include any mention to the type of the used weapon and ammunition that killed Abou Diad.

Chahrour told LBCI that this issue does not fall under his specialization, adding that he removed the bullet intact from Abou Diab’s body and handed it over to the concerned security apparatuses.

He concluded by saying that he carried out the necessary radiographs and scanner and prepared his report professionally before handing it over to the State Commissioner to the Military Court.

At 11:20 PM on Saturday, Abou Diab succumbed to his wounds at al-Rasoul al-Azam Hospital, to which he was transported after being shot at.

Conflicting scenarios were reported as to how Abou Diab was shot, one provided by the security apparatus and another by Wiam Wahhab.
