Arslan addresses citizens of Jabbal al-Arab in light of Syrian events

Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan said that Western monopoly and hegemony to form the new Middle East is being done on the expense of Syria. “Syrians were the first to uncover Western plots of colonialism in the area”, he said.

In a press conference on Monday, Arslan stressed that Syria’s history has always been that of “resisting imperialism and Western hegemony.” He added that Syria is now in the midst of facing Western and Israeli creative chaos strategies which aim at dissipating the structure of Arab nations” he said.

Addressing Jabbal al-Arab residents, Arslan said that "independence" and "resistance" are etched in their memory, calling for their solidarity with the Syrian people.

“I salute those who refuse hegemony and Western imperialism in the area and in Syria especially”, he added.

“Israel and the West are to be held responsible for the events in Syria” he concluded.
