Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech on Wednesday during a ceremony held in Beirut southern suburb on the anniversary of the Islamic revolution triumph in Iran, where he stressed that Iran ranks first as the most influencing country in the region.
He added that Iran is among the first states in the region to reach their independence and is a national state that is not dependent to the US, noting that “whoever imposes sanctions against Iran or fights Iran in the media and politics would be implementing an American project.”
Nasrallah denied any “Saudi-Iranian conflict,” explaining that a more accurate description would be "a US war against Iran, with Saudi Arabia used as a tool in this war, as well as other Gulf States."
The Shiite party chief also pointed out that “what is needed in Lebanon is real sovereignty and boldness.”
