Hariri: Lebanon to witness real economic recovery in coming period

Prime Minister Saad Hariri called on Monday for redoubling International efforts to ensure the safe and dignified return of Syrian refugees to their country, and that in line with the International principles and laws, in a way that guarantees the sovereignty and laws of the host countries.

Hariri’s comments were made during the closed session of the first Arab-European Summit taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Hariri also expressed his appreciation to the European aid to host countries, calling on the International community to recognize the seriousness of the suspension of the UNRWA’s funding and its negative impact on Lebanon and the region.

On another note, Hariri stressed that Lebanon will witness a real economic and investment recovery in the coming period.

He also valued the European Union, as well as the Arab countries that have always stood beside Lebanon and affirmed their support for the “Lebanese government's vision of stability and growth.”
